Arun Mahtani

Chief Content Officer, Asia Pacific

Arun Mahtani is head of content for the Asia Pacific region. He has over 16 years of experience as a journalist, having worked in print, television and digital media.

Most recently he was at Thomson Reuters, where he was global head of production for Reuters Insider, the multimedia platform. He helped build the product from the ground up, working hand-in-hand with journalists, clients and developers.

Prior to that, Arun was head of Bloomberg's UK television channel where he led a team of 47 journalists through the 2008 credit crunch. He developed many presenters from scratch, some of whom are now household names. He also taught existing talent how to get the best out of corporate interviews and probe executives for new information. The channel received several awards, including the Association of International Broadcasting’s “Best Rolling News Provider.”

Before that Arun worked as a senior editor and reporter for International Financing Review, the specialist capital markets publication. He broke market-leading stories on failed takeovers and billion dollar losses in the hedge fund industry. He started his career as a derivatives trader at NatWest Markets.
